A BREWERY has produced a special line of beer called Airman’s Ale as part of a three-year deal to supply military bars across the UK with beers, wines and spirits.
GLASSES were raised at a Cheltenham brewery after one of their beers was named among the best in Britain.
Brewer Everards said profits were up a fifth last year thanks to the quality of its beers and investing in its pubs. The family business, based in Enderby, reported pre-tax profits up 22 per cent in the year to September 30, to £1.54 million.
A pub that was due to be sold by its brewery has been saved. Aaron O’Connor, manager of the Durham Ox, in Belgrave, Leicester, received a warning his pub was one of 400 Marston’s premises the company was going to put on the market.
